Waiting to meet Santa can be a long and tiring process for little babies.
It was an ordinary day for the Walters family. They headed to the mall in Evansville hoping to get their baby’s first photo with Santa Claus. But as they were standing in line their 6-month-old son suddenly fell asleep. Let’s say little Zeke was overwhelmed with excitement. ” My son just gave the biggest yawn and crashed his head on my shoulder,” Walters said.
What happened next turned out to be one of the most heartwarming and memorable moments for this family. They wanted to wake him up, but a quick-thinking Santa had an idea. He said: “Don’t wake your child, we got the perfect shot.” Kris Kringle sat in his chair, placed Zeke on one side and pretended he was dozing off too. “I can’t believe how adorable our son’s pictures with Santa came out…. The outcome was the cutest thing I’ve ever seen,” Donnie Walters said.
Zeke’s father shared the photos on his Facebook page Donnie’s Daddy Daycare and was amazed by the response he received. Since then his page has grown from less than 300 to 11,000 fans. He hopes to show other dads that staying home with your child can be truly rewarding.
