These mini horses are so adorable and they make great family pets.
They are playful and funny and are perfect for kids. We are mostly used to big horse breeds. So whenever we see anything smaller than a regular-sized horse, it certainly draws our attention.
The average height of mini horses varies from 34 to 38 in (86-97 cm). With 14 inches in height and 20 lbs weight Little Pumpkin is the world’s smallest miniature horse. They approximately live from 25 to 35 years. One year old mini horse has the equivalent maturity of a 6 year old human. The breed longevity has to do with their size. The smaller the horse is, the longer their life is.
Mini horses are also very good as guide horses. If they pass different tests (including the intelligence test), they will be accepted in the program of helping blind people. What is important for this matter is their size. They have to be less than 26 inches tall.
Though totally different from dogs in many ways, they still do have so much in common. Mini horses are as cute and affectionate as dogs. Believe it or not, they enjoy running and chasing after a ball, especially when they are young. Grooming, brushing and stretching are their favorite lazy activities. In a word, they love spending time with their owners, seeking their companionship.
