Incredible footage of two daredevils who take flying to a whole new level.
The ex Swiss fighter pilot Yves Rossy and his protege and BASE jumper Vince Reffet from Jetman Dubai performed a scary stunt over the gleaming emirate. Using their jet-propelled wings they whirled around the world’s tallest building, the 2716-feet Burj Khalifa.
Rossy, also known as “Jetman“, is one aviation enthusiast. He is the inventor of an individual jet pack which uses carbon-fiber wings for flight. After years of experimentation, he managed to perform incredible jetpack flight. We can see that both stuntmen have completely mastered flying in formation. They even showed some of their new tricks.
The 12-minute video was made from a chase plane and Gopro cameras attached to the jetmen’ helmets. The first part of the video captures Rossy and Reffet at 5,000 feet above the Dubai desert. Whereas in the second part, they whirl around the skyscrapers at the average speed of 120mph.
Rossy is believed to be the first man in the history of aviation to have taken flight with a jet-propelled wing. The Swiss Alps, the English Channel and the Grand Canyon are just some of the iconic locations Yves Rossy flew across.
