In midst of one of the worst pandemic, many celebrities decided to donate money to help those in need. This is the time when we should practice social distancing and take all the extra precautions so as to protect our health.
Thousands of people have been affected by this disease throughout the world. In addition to offering the words of support and encouragement, some celebrities are stepping in to help low income families or other charity organizations. They are definitely setting an example for young generations.

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively
The couple donated $! million to Feeding America and Food Banks Canada. These are two charity organizations that help elderly people and families with low income. Lively encouraged others to donate if they can and to stay connected with friends and family via FaceTime, Skype, and video. “We can all do something for one another, even if that’s staying home,” she wrote.
Lady Gaga
Gaga’s cosmetics company Haus Labs announced the plan to donate 20 percent of its online profits to local food banks in Los Angeles and New York City.
Justin Timberlake
On his Instagram account the singer posted a note about his donations. Certain amount of money will go to the Mid-South Food Bank in his hometown of Memphis. “This is a crazy time, but remember we’re all in it together,” Timberlake wrote. “Start small and support your local communities by getting food out to those in need.”
Bill Gates and Melinda Gates
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has committed at least $105 million. The money will be used to improve isolation, detection and treatment efforts. Furthermore, it will be used to protect at risk population and accelerate the development of vaccines.
Donatella Versace
Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra Versace Beck donated 200,000 euros to the intensive care department of San Raffaele hospital in Milan.

Ciara and Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson and his wife Ciara announced they are donating one million meals via Food Lifeline. “The world needs us ALL. These are unprecedented times. We are supporting our community in Seattle by donating 1 million meals with Seattle @FoodLifeLine,” the singer wrote on Instagram, alongside a video of the couple. “Rally with us and support your local food bank @FeedingAmerica We can all make a difference together. Let’s all keep the Faith during this difficult time.”
