1. Boracay

Boracay Island is probably the most visited tourist spot, that keeps attracting visitors each year. The island is mainly known for the “White Beach”, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Located on the West Coast, between the villages of Balabag and Angol, the beach is divided into “boat stations.” Station one is a less boisterous side of Boracay, it is a more secluded and tranquil part of the beach. Whereas station two and three are the liveliest parts where everything happens. This is where the beach comes alive and where all the restaurants, bars and nightclubs stay open until dawn.

The island is completely set up for tourism, from five star luxurious hotels to secluded bungalows, there are a little bit of everything for everyone’s taste. White beach is the most popular spot for different sports activities, including snorkeling, scuba diving,  windsurfing and many more.

2. Palawan

There are  three equally popular destinations in Palawan: Coron, El Nido, and Puerto Princessa. They are all known for amazingly picturesque landscapes and majestic stone formations. Coron is famous for numerous dive sites and is known as the wreck diving capital of the country. It is one of the places that suffered a lot during the Typhoon Haiyan. There are 250 million year old limestone cliffs in El Nido that are still standing tall, and more than 50 species of corals, endangered turtles and different marine life. Puerto Princessa is a national park with many interesting places to visit. The Subterranean River is the most famous landmark of the place and is the longest underground river in the whole world. It’s on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

3. Palaui Island

The island is very hard to reach, but not impossible. Get ready to camp under the stars, and breathe in the beauty of this amazing island. There are volcanic rocks on one side and crystal clear blue-green water on the other side. To get to the beach you must go through a rugged terrain, thorny grass and mangrove forest, but once you get there you’ll be amazed.

4. Panglao, Bohol

Probably the most famous spot of the island are the Chocolate Hills. There are over 1,500 of these uniformly cone-shaped limestone hills, formed by the erosion of coral deposits. They are covered with green grass that turns brown in summer, making the landscape look like it has chocolate mounds all over. The island offers a relaxing scenery and perfect sand beaches. Alona beach is the most popular of all. The island of Bohol is a home to the world’s smallest primate – tarsier.

5. Bantayan Island, Cebu

If you need some peace and quiet Bantayan Island is a perfect retreat for you. This part of the Philippines is not that popular, and is never over-crowded, except during the Holy Week before Easter. There are no luxurious hotels, no shopping malls on the island, just pure relaxation.

6. Samal, Davao

Samal is famous for 118 km-long coastline of white sandy beaches, pristine waters, gorgeous coconut palms and Coral Garden Marine Park. The island is also very popular among the snorkelers and divers. There are many different resorts, ranging from five-star hotels to the laid-back hostels.

7.  Caramoan, Camarines Sur

Popular reality show “Survivor” was shot on this location, making the island one of the most attractive places to visit in the Philippines. In addition to beautiful beaches, there are also many caves, waterfalls and lagoons that you should see.

For all of you who prefer mountain climbing we suggest you to hike to the summit of Mountain Caglago. Once you get there and see the breathtaking view on the Caramoan islands, you will know it was worthwhile.
